In Shishi: Timeless Prelude you play as Elia an Oracle in training. We join her as she departs on her training in the Timeless Sanctuary. Work your way through to learn new spells and get stronger. So she will be ready to protect her kingdom.

Shishi Timeless Prelude game

Magical Egg Girl

Shishi: Timeless Prelude is a very simple game that gives the player a taste of the battle system and simple puzzle elements we are likely to encounter on the release of the full game Shishi Ballad of the Oracle.

Here, Elia must fight her way through the Sanctuary to gain the magical abilities needed to beat the enemies. Each spell is located behind a locked door. The key will be found on an enemy close to the door..

Elia will need to explore all the rooms in each area to find potions, hearts, keys, magic, and a shop. To make her strong enough to be the new Oracle.

Each run through the Timeless Sanctuary takes little more that an hour, so guess what? I recommend multiple runs to unlock different versions of Elia with a different look and stats. Unlocking a new version is done by defeating X amount of a certain enemy.

Battles

Elia, our handless egg girl, will enter a 1v1 turn based battle. There are no frills here. It is a simple yet satisfying experience. Choose attack or magic, use potions when needs be. EXP will be rewarded after battles, strengthening her as she progresses.

Overall, Shish: Timeless Prelude is what is says a prelude to the main game. Is it essential to play? I do not think so. Is it fun, yes it has a few interesting elements. Noting ground breaking, but it is still enjoyable.
