POSTAL Redux is a HD remake of a classic POSTAL. There is not much of a story to speak of. You play as a guy who’s gone crazy after being evicted from his home. He thinks that the US Air Force is releasing poisonous gas in his town. Since he’s the only one who is not affected, he must try to save everyone else from the gas.

If you know about POSTAL Redux, you are not here for the deep narrative you here to kill well everyone.

Postal-Redux-gameplay

POSTAL Redux is played in an isometric and on occasions top down view, and works like most twin stick shooters’ left stick moves right aims and R2 to shoot and L2 for throw-ables. Feeling particularly ruthless, you can execute downed enemies with triangle. Throughout the game, POSTAL Guy will collect a vast array of deadly gun to take out his foes. With his submachine gun having unlimited ammo and the rest needs ammo pick ups.

There are two modes to play: one will see you playing the game as it was made, plus its extra levels. THe other it rampage mode there you play to get the biggest score possible. To be honest, it is what it says on the tin: you go POSTAL and kill everything and everyone, innocent or not. With the goal is to kill a percentage of the population of the current area to move on.

I found little wrong with the gameplay, but there was a few times that I was stuck on a level with nothing to do as NPCs would not be triggered, so I had to run about until they decided to come out.

Overall, POSTAL Redux is what it is a twin stick shooter where you play a crazy guy. If you looking for more substance that you will be disappointed. However, here for a fun shooter at a good price, it is not a bad playthough, more so with the price point.
