[ Introduction ]

So here we are with yet another visual novel game, I think I might have a problem. How does Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ compare to the rest of the visual novels of late?

The setting is in an alternative 19th Century Steam-Punk London. The tale is told through Cardia, the woman with Poison Skin, about the men trying to help her and those trying to capture her. Throw in some famous fictional figures, including Victor Frankenstein and Abraham Van Helsing, you have quite an interesting story.
With the game being a visual novel there is not much more I want to say about the story as this will spoil the experience.

[ Gameplay ]

The gameplay is the same as all visual novels For Code: Realize. Read the story, then at points you are able to make decisions that dictate how future plot will play out.
There is not much to say here if you have played a visual novel, then you will feel right at home.

[ Visual and Perfomance ]

Now we get to the good stuff. The visuals are beautiful! The high quality drawing of the characters with their big eyes and defined facial features of each character. With a great steam-punk look that reveals some of the best interstations I have seen so far. The colour pallets used are great and all feel right with the mystery and the world it represents.

[ Sound ]

The sound track and the Voice acting are both top-notch quality. The voices in Code: Realize are all in Japanese, which feels strange knowing it is based in London regardless though they are all great. All have their own personality and it shines through with the voice acting.

[ Conclusion ]

Overall, Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ is another shining example of what a Visual Novel should be and shows that If Idea Factory is one diverse game company. The game play is a run of the mill Visual Novel, nothing out of the blue.
I would say go buy this and the rest of the Code: Realize Visual Novels.
