Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield you play as Wally who is trying to retrieve his stolen property all the while being chased or in this case blocked by the police/ authoritarian body. And Wally cannot slow down.

There is not much to the story as it does a fairly poor job of explaining anything. It starts with Wally escaping a building and running.

Aerial_Knight-Never-Yield-game

Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield does a good job of introducing the gameplay loop, however, it wouldn’t take you long to figure out. As Wally auto run’d the only inputs needed are on the D-pad up for a big jump, left for a hop, down for a side and right for speed boost. As you start, the game will colour code the jump with the input and slow down time. So as Wally is running it is up to the player to make him avoid hitting anything. Simple?

On normal and hard difficulties the game is straightforward and will get stale fast. As it is way too easy, and the only difficulty of hard and normal it’s the slow down time is shortened. I feel as these two difficulties are training you for the insane mode. In this mode there is no slowdown, no colour code and more obstacle. Here is where the fun begins. It is still the same dozen levels but everything is harder and the whole point is to beat your last time. However, it still is only the same inputs. Luckily the game is quick and will take about one-half hours on normal to finish. Making it a perfect pick up and play a level or two game when you waiting for something ele to install or deciding what to play.

The aspect that steals the show in Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield is the music, damn it is good, As in outstanding. With a mix of sax, snare, mixing, and bass that all come together to make some of the most chilled tracks I have heard in a while. If would definitely buy the soundtrack.

Overall Aerial_Knight’s Never Yield is a decent runner that unfortunately runs stale after a while with little for the player to do. It still presents a challenge and I know the speed runners will eat this up. The sound track it outstanding and deserves to be heard.
